The Sherrill-Kenwood Library has a full week of activities planned for children and adults for the spring break school recess week April 17-April 22!

On our Community Art Wall for the month of April we are featuring the artwork of Stockbridge Valley Schools under the instruction of Sherrill resident, Sarah Bennati.

Tuesday April 18, 1pm, Bird  House Painting- We will supply the bird houses and paint. Please call and register so we can plan accordingly. All ages are welcome to attend.

Wednesday April 19, 1:30pm- Our movie matinee will be Classic Cartoons from years past and we’ll also host a Jenga tournament.

Wednesday April 19, 7pm- The Friends of the Library will present Matthew Urtz, Madison County Historian who will tell the story of former Hamilton, NY resident Samuel Beckwith who served as General Ulysses S. Grant’s personal cipher and telegrapher. Beckwith was assigned to President Lincoln and was part of the group of soldiers who chased and captured John Wilkes Booth.

Thursday April 20, 6:30pm- Stuffed Animal Sleepover- Join us for Sleepy Time Tales and bring your stuffed animals for story time and leave them with us overnight and we will care for them.

Friday April 21, 1pm- Earth Day Story Hour and Crafts

Saturday April 22, 11am- Mike Allen from the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum will present “Stories from the Landing: History of the Dry Docks at Chittenango.”
