The City of Sherrill periodically has job openings for full-time, part-time and seasonal positions. The City of Sherrill is seeking applicants for seasonal positions at the Sherrill Community Activity Center. Successful applicants will have a strong work ethic, flexibility, and strong interest in being part of serving residents and visitors to our community. We have a strong staff of committed people and are looking to expand our team for these seasonal positions- Fall/Winter/Spring. There may be some changes to hours and responsibilities but general descriptions are below:
Substitute Recreation Assistants for Youth Center- The 2019-2020 youth center program will take place October 7-March 26, Mondays & Wednesdays for students in grades 4-6 from 3:30-6pm and Tuesdays & Thursdays for students in grades 7-9 from 2:45-6pm. There will also be some special events on weekends and during school breaks throughout the year.
Responsibilities include: Supervising students during the program and responding to student needs. Organizing and assisting with games, activities and special events. Maintaining a clean, safe environment and assisting with other duties at the CAC as needed.
Substitute Building and Grounds Attendant
Responsibilities include: Building cleaning including restrooms, sweeping, mopping, and related janitorial duties. Setup and take down for events, programs. Basic outside maintenance including snow removal, shoveling, salting, etc.
Substitute Bowling Attendant
Responsibilities include: Bowling area setup and cleaning, oiling lanes, using cash register for bowling activities, events, parties, etc, counting money, lane work, helping with setup and take down for events, programs. Other building cleaning and duties as needed.
