Reilly-Mumford Park is located next to Sherrill City Hall at 377 Sherrill Road. It features a gazebo and is named after Sherrill’s two police officers that were killed in the line of duty in 1969. Chief Thomas P. Reilly and Patrolman Robert A. Mumford were fatally wounded in the act of apprehending a robbery suspect fleeing officials from a neighboring community. The park is used year round for various events. In the summer it hosts the weekly Tuesday concert series. In the winter, there is a skating rink that is open weather permitting.
