Sherrill Electric Rate Changes

The City of Sherrill had their new electric rates ratified by the New York Power Authority on December 16, 2014 effective January 1, 2015.  You can find the rates for all services in the chart below.  There were no changes in the water or sewer rates.

Additionally, if a bill (any or all services) remains unpaid for 20 days after the due date, an interest charge of two (2) per cent of the amount unpaid will be imposed.  Subsequently, an additional interest charge of one and one-half (1½) per cent of the outstanding balance will be added on the first day of each succeeding billing date until the amount due, including interest, is paid in full.

Please note that the implementation of the one and one-half (1½) percent interest rate on the outstanding balance will not go into effect until your corresponding billing cycle, either May or June respectively.
