Sherrill Native Marc Iseneker Drafted by Texas Rangers
Our own Sherrill native and pitcher Marc Iseneker was drafted Saturday in the Major League Baseball draft.
Marc, a Vernon-Verona-Sherrill graduate, was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 28th round (849th overall).
He is the second VVS player to be drafted in the last three years. In 2014, Tyler Mautner was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 14th round (410th overall).
Iseneker recently finished his junior season at Division III St. John Fisher with a 7-2 record and a 2.24 ERA and a team-best 86 strikeouts in 88 1/3 innings.
